This premier event celebrates excellence in construction and is the largest local industry gathering of its kind, with over 175 attendees last year. The evening includes a social hour with a hosted bar, a formal dinner, and an exciting awards presentation. As a highlight of the local industry calendar, the event often sells out, drawing both members and non-members. Tickets are available now, and non-members will be available in December. Owner/President of Hurka ConstructionVenessa Hurka is a Santa Barbara native who graduated from Chico State University in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Immediately after graduation she moved back home to start her career. For the first 11 years she worked for several award-winning companies and is now entering her 11th year as the owner / operator of Hurka Construction. Venessa balances her life between two families: her talented employees & subcontractors at work and, her incredible husband Joe, and wonderful children Chloe and Layla at home.

Showroom Manager of Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting GalleryI grew up with family members in the trades- construction, electrical and plumbing, so it was a perfect fit when I joined the Ferguson team as a showroom manager 12 years ago. After a career in high end retail dealing mostly with fashion and home furnishings, I have merged my knowledge of the trades with the decorative side of construction in my current role with Ferguson, and it’s been a pretty fun ride so far!

After graduating from St. Mary’s College in 1999, Gina gained valuable marketing experience in the Bay Area before returning to her roots in Santa Barbara to join her family’s business, Tileco Distributors. Raised in the business, the transition felt like a natural fit, and she quickly developed a strong appreciation for helping customers design their ideal spaces with tile.
Today, Gina and her husband, Nate, lead Tileco Distributors, a premier tile supplier in Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. The company stocks over $3 million worth of inventory, primarily sourced from Italy and the United States, offering a curated selection of the latest in tile design and technology.
